I went for a late run tonight. It was oddly relaxing despite the whole running part. It was cool, dark, and quiet. the stars and planets were awesomely bright. I had kinda zoned out and then there is a flash of light in my face.
I’m a little nervous about coyotes. This was surprisingly close to my face and bright in the darkness. I did 2 miles in 16:20 which is about 5.5 laps around my neighborhood.

Coyotes generally keep away from people. Unless someone in your area has been feeding them.

i doubt people are feeding them but there is probably feeding opportunities (trash, cats, gardens, chipmunks....) ‘ve had them follow me on my bike at night but never get close. I have no interest in finding there the line is with them. If i came around a bend and there was one minding its own bu si ness and i startled it, it could try to defend itself.
